Our Big Move

The whole point of creating this blog was to keep family and friends updated on our lives throughout the year but somehow it is July and I haven’t updated this blog since January. Boy time flies!

As I am sure many of you know, last month we moved from Mt Dora to New Port Richey, Florida. Back in January, Adrian got a phone call from Greg Johnson (the Senior Pastor of Generations Christian Church in Tarpon Springs, FL) asking if he would consider joining the staff at Generations as Worship Arts Pastor. I remember that phone call because Adrian kindly told Greg he would “pray” about it -the infamous Christian “break-up” line- and hung up the phone just smiling. You see, we were not looking to leave the ministry at Journey so this phone call was extremely unexpected. But we still did pray for God to guide our family however and wherever He willed. Β To make a long story short, over the next 3 months God started building up walls and opening doors that would eventually lead us to see His will was for us to be at Generations. It was hard to leave some amazing friends back in Orlando but we are blessed to still be so close.

God is so good. That is all I can say. The people of Generations have welcomed us with open arms – even after being warned that I was related to Tom Goodlet, their Youth Minister. You got it! We are now at the same church as my brother. Poor Greg… poor poor Greg. lol. πŸ™‚ Had I been the one controlling my life I could not have planned this. I LOVE living by Tom and Erica. Madi and Parker (her cousin) have the cutest relationship. I smile every time I hear them yell for each other “Maaadeee” and “Barberr” (Hey, Madi is only 17 months… that is pretty close to “parker”).

Oh and before I forget, our new address is:

Madi is now 17 months old and talks more than ANY other child I know. (Just like her Dad.) πŸ˜‰ The other day she was running around in her diaper and Pop (my grandpa) asked her where her clothes were. Madi returned 2 minutes later and handed him her clothes. She then proceeded to chatter and giggle as if she was so funny.

Adrian is working hard with his talented Worship Arts team go get things ready for Generations’ big move into their new building next month. While the big move is keeping him busy I am not complaining. When his hours get long we always make sure to plan more dates. πŸ™‚ I feel so blessed to be married to this man and I look forward to many many many more years with him.

I promise to blog more and post some new videos of Madi. Thank you all for all of your encouragement and support over that past few months!
