From a Disney princess to the celebration of Halloween, my husband and I really make a point to use what we can in the world to teach our children about who they are in Christ and who God created them to be.

Here are just a few of the silly and ordinary ways we try to use the “everyday” to tie in to who Jesus is in our kids’ lives. Check back frequently as I will continue to add fun new ideas.

It is not that we think we are qualified to do anything on our own. Our qualification comes from God. 2 Corinthians 3:5

Take a deep breathe. Explain that your family chooses to use your money to help others and that is why you may have the smallest house (apartment/car/toys) on the block. How does God feel when we use our money to help others and His church? In our house my 5 year old will say “I am a Traurig. We use our money to help people”. Wow. Fix these words of mine in your hearts and minds; tie them as symbols on your hands and bind them on your foreheads. Teach them to your children, talking about them when you sit at home and when you walk along the road, when you lie down and when you get up. Deuteronomy 11:18-19
